Marilyn Monroe Takes the Stage at Madame Tussaud's
“I only know I want to be wonderful.” – Marilyn Monroe
This set design and backdrop for the Marilyn Monroe display at Madame Tussaud’s was created and then installed by Czinkota Studios at their New York City location. Featuring stores, signs, and market shelves true to a 1960’s scene, each piece was built to withstand the high traffic that the NYC wax museum sees.
Our expert woodworking came into play for many of the shelving components, sign lettering and stylistic paneling. This themed set was built at the studio, with a protege of Marilyn herself with us for size reference.
The final set shown below shows the varying building textures commonly seen in 1960’s Manhattan alongside a scene that sets the stage for Marilyn’s famous breezy dress affair.
